DESCRIPTION:Dear Utah AHEC Scholars,\nPlease join us for a lunch and learn on December 10 from 12:00pm-1:00pm by Dr. Georgi A. Rausch.\nDr. Georgi A. Rausch is a Professor, Lecturer in the Department of Management at the David Eccles School of Business, University of Utah. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Utah, she received a B.A. degree in Communication Studies and English Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.A. in Organizational Communication from the University of Montana, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from the University of Utah.\nBefore graduate school, she worked in advertising and media planning at J. Walter Thompson in San Francisco and in nonprofit development at the California Academy of Sciences. Dr. Rausch loves to incorporate mindfulness practices in communication instruction. She teaches topics such as public speaking, workplace wellness, and emotional intelligence to a broad variety of audiences, and enjoys making these topics practical, relevant, and engaging.\nDr. Rausch has published her research in Business and Professional Communication Quarterly and is the recipient of multiple teaching awards including the Marvin J. Ashton Teaching Excellence Award, the Brady Faculty Superior Teaching Award, the Daniels Fund Leadership in Ethics Education Award, and the Ethics Club “Being a Difference Award” chosen by the students of the Eccles school.\n
